How to remove or change WhatsApp emoji reaction

WhatsApp timely adds minor and major features to make the user experience a whole lot easier and better. Emoji reaction is an extremely useful and recently added feature on WhatsApp that lets you respond instantly to messages in your individual and group chats with emojis. The emoji reaction appears right under the messages on reacting.

But most of the WhatsApp users want to know how to remove or change emoji reactions on the WhatsApp messaging app.

WhatsApp lets you change your reaction to a message if you have accidentally reacted to it or if you have reacted incorrectly. Here’s how-

Step 1: To get started, open the WhatsApp app on your smartphone.

Step 2: Upon opening WhatsApp, navigate to the chat window where you wish to remove or change the message emoji reaction.

Step 3: In this step, you have to long press the message bubble that you have previously reacted with emoji. The sender of the message won’t receive a notification if you remove the emoji reaction.

Step 4: In order to remove the message emoji reaction, tap on the emoji reaction (it will already be highlighted) that you had used previously.

Step 5: The last step in our process is to change the message emoji reaction if you wish. To do this, long press the previously reacted message and tap or select a different emoji that you would like to use.
