The Permanent Account Number (PAN) card is one of the most important documents in the digital era nowadays. The Permanent Account Number is issued by the Income Tax Department, and it has many uses besides just filing IT returns or other financial dealings.
PAN Card is generally used for filing IT returns, opening a bank account, proof of identity, applying for a credit or debit card, cash deposits, fixed deposits, to get the loan, foreign exchange, to get telephone connection, in property dealings and so on.
However, the Income Tax Department has made it mandatory to link the PAN Card with Aadhaar Card to keep it activated otherwise it becomes inoperative after the deadline of 30th June 2020. If you’re one of those who have not yet linked their pan card with Aadhaar Card, you still have a few days to do so.

How to Link PAN Card with Aadhaar Card by SMS?
Follow these steps to link your PAN Card to your Aadhaar Card:
1. Open your SMS app and type UIDPAN <SPACE> <12 digit AadhaarNumber> <SPACE> <10 digit PAN Number>.
Example: UIDPAN 123456789123 TYMKP8445G
2. Now, send it to 567678 or 56161 from your registered mobile number (SMS charges applicable).
3. Finally, you’ll get a confirmation SMS.
